Nordic Walking

nordic walkingAs a healthy free time sport trend, the Mosel region offers a multitude of special routes and parks perfect for this. These paths lead you along the river, along the tributary valleys and its forests, or through vineyards and villages. We have maps of special nordic walking paths for you at our “St. Jakobhof”. Nordic walking sticks can be rented for a fee at the tourist information office.

Climbing

kletternFor the active visitors, the region offers a large selection of newly opened climbing parks within the forest region. A highlight for all hikers and climbers is the Calmont “Klettersteig”, a hike up the steepest vineyard in Europe, which is just a stone’s throw away from our front door.

Golfing

golfTen minutes away from our “St. Jakobhof” is the newly constructed golf course near Ediger-Eller. The course, designed by the golf course architect Christoph Städler, covers almost 90 hectares with its fantastic Championship Course (Mosel Course), as well as its neighboring 9-hole short course (Eifel Course) and the large driving range with its 60 driving places, fairway bunker, and floodlights.

Beach Volleyball

The last weekend in July has a top-class beach volleyball tournament. Everyone who registers in advance can participate. There are also the small playing fields for football (soccer) and basketball in the middle of Ediger Eller.
